Chief Accountant

Reports to: Head of Accounting and Reporting

Main purpose of the job: to organize and lead the accounting team     

The role:

- Ensure systematic and chronological recording, processing and preservation of information regarding the situation of the Company and the results obtained according to the law and the Group requirements

- Establish procedures and impose effective control and efficient methods of accounting

- Ensure the calculation and determination of fees and taxes including registration and reporting

- Verify and authorise limits in banking operations

- Ensure preparation of reports to ANAF, CSA and CSSPP according to legal requirements, being accountable for final review for sign-off

- Coordinate the work of the accounting team, ensuring the smooth functioning.

 

Profile:

- University degree in Economics, preferably from Finance / Accounting / Banks area

- Member already or training for a professional qualification such as ACCA

- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting – life insurance or financial services, with at least 1 year of people management experience

- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with general ledger applications

- A quick learner who is prepared to work hard and take responsibility; proactive person

- Good written, presentational and oral communication in Romanian and English.
